On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, a corrections officer succumbed to a medical condition in Control Center that without a proper timely response could have turned into a medical emergency. In 2016, she pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder for the stabbing death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
